International Regulatory
Navigating international borders requires strict adherence to customs regulations, import/export laws, and international trade compliance. FlyStar Services provides expert guidance to ensure your global shipments clear customs smoothly and without unnecessary delays.
Commercial Invoices
Every international shipment containing goods (non-documents) must be accompanied by a commercial invoice. This document is the primary declaration used by customs authorities to assess duties and taxes. It must accurately detail the sender and receiver's information, a precise description of the goods, their country of origin, and their true commercial value.
Duties, Taxes, and Tariffs
Customs duties and taxes are determined by the destination country based on the type of goods and their declared value. Unless otherwise specified (such as a DDP
Delivered Duty Paid shipment), the receiver is typically responsible for paying these charges before the package is released by customs.
Restricted Commodities & Licensing
Certain goods may be legally exported from your country but heavily restricted or completely banned in the destination country. Common examples include agricultural products, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications equipment, and certain textiles. Some items may require specific import licenses or permits. It is the shipper's responsibility to verify that the item is permissible in the destination country.
Electronic Export Information (EEI)
For high-value commercial shipments, an EEI filing may be legally required before export. Our regulatory team can assist you in filing the necessary declarations to ensure full compliance with international trade laws.
